Why do NFL players celebrate after making routine plays?

A first down, routine tackle, sack, decent return.. These NFL players celebrate every standard play in the game... Dances, gestures, chest-thumping, LOOK AT ME! LOOK WHAT I DID!

Players need to have class and act like their latest play isn't a once-in-a-lifetime occurence..

What's behind this phenomena?

I agree,I have actually seen linebackers jump up and down and make all kinds of gestures after stopping a running back with no gain, all this while his team is down by more than 20 points with a couple of minutes to go

not enough love at home... they need society to validate their entire existence, so they don't go home and chew on gun barrels....
Because from a very young age it was tolerated by coaches, parents and fans instead of teaching them humility. It sucks.
You get caught up in the moment.
why do you park in a driveway and drive in a parkway
That's how the generation was raised. Every time they peed, someone was taking a video. Everybody wins a ribbon because nobody wants to have their child's feelings hurt. Over protectiveness.
I heard something the other day that it started with ALI. They like to showboat!
